Jerry Saunders Teaches Winter Survival Skills to Superior SAR Team for Extreme Cold Emergencies

Talking about the weather isn’t just small talk anymore, especially when extreme weather events are becoming more frequent.

The shift towards unpredictable and severe weather underscores the importance of having specific skills, like those taught in the winter survival classes offered by Corvus Survival.

The United States has recently seen several severe winter storms, hitting regions that aren’t used to significant snowfall, leading to extensive efforts to remove snow from both public and private spaces.

This change has highlighted a widespread unpreparedness for harsh weather conditions, particularly in the southern states, which could learn a lot from their northern neighbors about dealing with the cold.

While many people in colder climates know the basics of staying warm and keeping their homes insulated, there are those with more in-depth knowledge on how to survive and even enjoy the challenging conditions of wilderness areas covered in snow.

Jerry Saunders, founder of Corvus Survival, is an expert in these survival techniques. He has recently conducted a training session for the volunteers of Superior Search and Rescue (SAR) in Upper Michigan, teaching them essential skills for dealing with cold weather crises.
